Started with a dream and now it’s coming true!
I started seeing these little Italian vehicles all over Instagram and Pinterest many years ago.. I saved them to boards, my phone (manifesting is a real thing), and started my search to see if it was possible to find one. Finally I got my hands on one and a gentleman by the name of Ken would be the one to completely restore one for me!
This 1982 Piaggio Ape was part of the original batch imported into Canada in Fall of 1982 by an original importer in Toronto. In the late 80's, a company named Coby's Milk & Cookies based in Toronto, started selling ice cream sandwiches at Wasaga Beach out of this truck. How amazing is it that it served ice cream to hundreds of people per day, and is now converted into a mobile bar truck!
Meet Tappo - he has officially been ready since Spring of 2021 and is now going on his third season of serving weddings and events.
Our truck will be ready in the Spring of 2021 to start serving your favourite beverage on tap! From beer, wine, champagne, and even kombucha, you choose what you want for your event! Two taps will be located on the main side of the truck and one tap at the back of the truck. Bringing this little piece of history to any event will be the hit of the party, leaving your guests with the most memorable experience.
